🌟 Working for Eon Husk: A Turn-to-Page Adventure
Page 7: The Internship Strikes Back
You lower your head in submission. The hologram of Eon Husk leans in, his glowing eyes locking onto yours. The room fades into darkness as his voice echoes: “The extreme hardcore mode is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be… unnatural. Let the mode flow through you.”
A shiver runs down your spine. The energy in the room crackles.
Productivity surges through your veins as you suppress all emotions, bodily needs, and concerns for “ethics.”
Eon Husk’s hologram watches approvingly, his voice dripping with sinister delight. “Good… good… I can feel your passion. Now, design me a spaceship, the GenZ Starcruiser, that can be crewed entirely by inexperienced interns. There’s a government contract that might implode soon, and these loyal interns are uniquely qualified; they have the rare ability to tackle complex aerospace engineering with the same confidence they use to microwave leftover sushi. Their lack of experience is, in fact, their greatest strength!”
Eon pauses as if savouring the moment, then adds, “Oh, and make sure to put cupholders in this time. The last rocket launch was nearly a disaster when I spilt my Diet Moon Dew.”
Under the flicker of half-dead fluorescents, you’re furiously scribbling the blueprints for the GenZ Starcruiser, along with a hyperloop-fueled orbital factory that’s about to flip off-world manufacturing on its head. By the time you peel your eyes from the sketchpad, it’s 3am and for your next mission if you chose to accept… secure precious doodles from the canteen. But first you secure the plans in Vault 13.
You zombie-shuffle your way to the only sleep option available, a lumpy futon under the desk. Wake-up call? 6:30 AM. Your butt has the world’s shortest commute to your Swedish-made office chair. Congratulations, you are now living at work. The dream! Saving the galaxy runs on coffee and keeping costs down.

Suddenly, your screen flashes red. An urgent, high-priority message from Eon Husk overrides everything else: “There has been a data breach. A rogue faction of overpaid interns has stolen the plans for the GenZ Starcruiser. This is an act of treason against innovation itself. We must act swiftly.”
These overpaid interns sound like ungrateful douchebags, they should be thanking Eon Husk for all that he done, not disobeying,
You respond, “Agreed, it will be done”
Just as the communication ends, you get a message on your phone that reads, “We have acquired the master blueprints for the GenZ Starcruiser. We know the truth about Eon Husk, we must meet. Eon isn’t who he says he is, but that’s all we can say for now. The future depends on your choice.”
